Estela & Spencer

Spencer and Estela first met in pharmacy school at Shenandoah University in 2014. Estela first caught Spencer’s eye at a pharmacy event and he became relentless in his goal of taking her out on a date. He was a bit awkward and shy in his initial encounters, but slowly he grew in his confidence to the point where he asked her to be his date for his Winery Birthday Bash. 

Estela was a year ahead of Spencer in school, so when she left to start clinical rotations in Washington D.C. it started the six year journey of a long distance relationship. Spencer and Estela would spend those years traveling back and forth across the East Coast as they continued navigating their career paths of pharmacy school and residency. The ebbs and flows of a long distance relationship made Spencer and Estela’s relationship grow resilient and stronger by the year. Their families also worked to overcome the barrier of language, as Estela is a first generation immigrant from the beautiful country of Albania. 

Their long distance relationship culminated on July, 25th 2020 when Spencer took a knee and stuttered through the most important question he’d ever asked Estela….“A do martohesh me mua?”. The engagement took place in the beautiful city of Charleston, SC with the presence of both their loving families. Since the engagement, they have narrowed the distance between the two and are now both living in New Orleans, LA. Through the battles of loving someone from afar, they have found how to seek out the best in each other. Both will agree, they make each other better when in one another’s presence. Spencer and Estela have shown, and believe themselves, that love can concur all.
